Empanada Mama L.E.S.

I LOVE these empanadas and order them as much as possible whenever I'm in the area. The only downside is that they once forgot my favorite empanadas (the dessert ones, the chocolate/banana is to die for) and sometimes they take a while to come, but that's also because I commonly order in the middle of the night. But they are incredibly delicious all the time!

Amazing delicious food !!! As far as I know it's the only place in Manhattan where you can get a real bandeja paisa! Doesn't hurt that the delivery guy was very nice as well. :) Will be ordering in the future 100%!

Amazing food!! Food was Seasoned to perfection ! The watermelon salad was so delicious and refreshing... We also enjoyed the Viagra seafood empanada .. Will definitely be ordering again and again! Lol

The food is always delicious and ready when I go to pick it up. I always find parking right in front. If youre in the lower east side and like empanadas I would definitely check out empanada mama

Such a great ... and delicious...find while visiting NY! Can't wait to go back, because no matter where I stay next time, these will always remain part of my experience on every trip!! A MUST!!!

I will keep it simple. Everything my girlfriend and I have ever ordered from Empanada Mama has been fresh and incrediably delicious. The picada is one of our favorites with a flavor blast of different proteins and tasty tender yuca/casava. Our other favorites which we order all the time include the Viagra empanada. It is LOADED with fresh shrimp, scallops and crab meat. The seafood stew is so delicious and savory. The BBQ pork and shredded chicken empanadas are great too. Delivery is always on time and the delivery guys are friendly. My GF and I recently went to the actual restaurant on Allen Street for the first time last week. The staff was very attentive and the dining area is roomy and comfortable. You have to visit or order from this spot. You will not be disappointed.

Only review I have ever written on seamless. Empanada Mama saved my life--the spicy chicken empanada, in particular. Whilst the empanadas are only $3 and change, I have still managed to spend a small country's GDP on these little pockets of amazingness in the last 3 weeks alone. Wondering if empanadas are the way to go? TRICK QUESTION: They are always the way to go, bc they are so versatile. Don't forget to grab a side of the chipotle mayo and the garlic pure--in reality, the empanadas, as wonderful as they are individually, are also vehicles for the glorious condiments.

Edit on a previous post for late delivery. After speaking with the restaurant, they figured out why my kid was likely to starve (apart, of course, from having a lazy mum) they fixed it and instead of delivering ice cold empanada bricks-which might actually be tasty-they made some toasty fresh just for us and delivered them right away along with a very generous discount!!

Not sure if I should be ashamed of this but we ordered 6 empenadas at like 2am, ate them, and then placed a second order because we wanted more... i ordered twice in one night. There was 1 empenada missing from our second order but it doesn't change my rating b/c mistakes happen...
The green sauce is the best!!

We were hoping for good takeout & instead we received incredible takeout. Everything cooked to perfection, the fried food was perfectly crisp, nothing greasy, the flavor packs a fresh punch and is absolutely authentic. I would drive from another borough just for a pick-up order it's that good.
